My connection to clothing began with my grandmother, a fashion designer who opened one of the first fashion boutiques in former Yugoslavia. I spent much of my childhood surrounded by fabrics, garments and sewing machines, observing how an idea could be transformed into something tangible through creativity, knowledge and precise craftsmanship. At a time when women bought fewer pieces and kept them for longer, I learned to see clothing as something personal and lasting rather than temporary.

Drawing became my own way of entering that world. After filling countless sketchbooks with designs, I studied fashion at the Secondary School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana and later at the Department of Textiles and Fashion Design at the University of Ljubljana. Before founding JEŽEVA, I worked independently on collections for international fashion brands, developing experience across fashion research, creative direction, garment design and technical development.

JEŽEVA grew from a desire to create clothing in a more thoughtful and personal way. Instead of following the pace of mass production, I focus on small collections, limited quantities and made-to-order pieces. Many garments are created from carefully sourced deadstock materials and all are made in Slovenia, giving each piece the time, attention and individuality it requires.

My first collection, Heritage in Motion, brings my family heritage into the present without attempting to recreate the past. It carries forward the values I inherited: respect for craftsmanship, sensitivity to material and the idea of choosing fewer, meaningful garments and places them within the life of a modern woman.
